Welcome, we’re elated that you are considering joining the Cambridge High School Musical Theatre Company. We have been building a name for ourselves over the past few years, and we are thrilled that you are interested in growing our legacy and making art with us!
Bridge Ensemble Musical Theatre Structure & Expectations
The Bridge Ensemble musical theatre class will be fully responsible for creating the musical and will also participate in the spring one-act musical.
How We Achieve This
The musical theatre class will meet during 7th period, providing ample rehearsal time while reducing after-school commitments.
Saturday rehearsals and tech weeks will still be necessary but should be less demanding than before.
All musical theatre students must contribute to the musical production.
Auditions and rehearsals for the musical are separate from the class.
Musical company members must pay dues covering production costs, t-shirts, Thespian fees, banquet, and ThesCon expenses (registration, events, hotel, and transportation).
Auditions
Musical Theatre students are not required to audition for the 25-26 school year. However, in order to be placed in the class, students must pay their production fees and complete onboarding requirements.
Parent/Guardians of students assigned to Musical Theatre will attend a mandatory Parent/Guardian Meeting before the end of this semester. Details of commitment for both student and parents will be covered.
Students who are accepted into the program will be expected to:
Read and understand the Company Handbook
Sign a contract indicating their willingness to adhere to company expectations, and the consequences should they not. Parents will be asked to acknowledge this student contract as well.
