An Illinois native, Mr. Cory Kelley is thrilled to be entering his sixth year at Cambridge High School and his 16th year as an educator.

Mr. Kelley began his theatre teaching career in Houston, Texas. While teaching in Texas, a number of Mr. Kelley’s students excelled in the Tommy Tune Awards, University Interscholastic League, and at Texas Thespians. Mr. Kelley took over the Cambridge Theatre program during the 2020-2021 School year. During that school year, Cambridge’s GHSA One Act Play won State Runner-Up with their production of The Diary of Anne Frank. This year, Cambridge’s GHSA One Act Play, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane won the 5A State Championship. This year’s production of Chicago: Teen Edition earned the recognition of the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Association’s Shuler Awards resulting in 3 nominations for Cambridge High School and 2 honorable mentions for Mr. Kelley in Outstanding Direction and Scenic Design. Cambridge High School’s Bridge Ensemble continue to grow and excel in new arenas of the dramatic arts, and he is thrilled to see how far these talented student artists can go.
